The stick also bears the latitude and longitude of the location of the mountain the color is taken from. Crayons of the Seas was created with colors extracted from satellite images of twelve different locations across the seas of the world. In this series, the colors also do not have names, and only the latitude and longitude for the locations within the seas is inscribed onto the stick. Included in the package are the satellite images the colors are extracted from, as well as a map of Earth that showcases the precise locations of the crayon colors on the mountains and seas.
